Opening Pitch.

Happy New Year and shit....
I've never been one for resolutions, but as I get older there are some things that I  would love to start changing about myself. It's pure coincidence that I'm thinking of them today lol.

These are very general things, that I'm recently deciding I want to work on. Gradually, of course.
1) I want to blog more! I've realized that with microblogging and things like twitter, I stopped actually writing, which is something that has always been so therapeutic for me.
2) I want to speak my mind more.
Better out than in. I've seen first-hand how pent up emotions can manifest into physical pain, stress, etc. Do not want.
3) I want to return to school.
After I earned my Bachelor's, I wanted to take a short break from school, to just...breathe. But I think I've become to complacent, and changes shall be made.

That's it.

Heyy...♥

It's been a long time....
*cue music* I shouldn't have left you (left you) without a dope beat to step to....{Timbaland voice}
But anyway, I'd love to tell you guys that I'm back from the little hiatus I took over the past few weeks, and that I'll be blogging on the regular again buuutttttttt I've always felt that a LiaR ain't shit. So...yeah. We'll just take things a day at a time lol. I've really missed you guys, though! I'll have to catch up on reading (and posting) at some point. Out of nowhere, life just got extra busy, and I found myself trying to pencil sleep and hair washes into my schedule...smh. Lol. It's been a crazy couple months. For those who don't know, I've worked at Torrid for 2 years now. Well I was recently promoted to Assistant Manager, which occupies a big chunk of my time. No complaints there... the hours and the pay are alright with me...Not too shabby for my first and only retail job, right? Lol. This is also my last semester of undergrad, so I've been trying to wrap things up on a strong note. So far, so good...in addition to classes, I've been doing my externship at a local elementary school. So yes... busy, busy, busy. All this while remaining fly and fabulous! I've been rockin' my natural to the fullest, and I've cut about 4 inches off since that last pic I posted, a few entries back.... don't worry, you can hardly tell the difference. The 'fro is still in full effect. Lol. Just minus a few pesky ends.
Enough about me, though.....How've my old faithfuls been? Do any of you have twitters? I'd love to follow, so if you do, leave me an @ name, or follow me. Trust me, you'll hear from me a lot more on there than you will on here lol... But I am gonna try to get back to blogging. Y'all know how it is... Lol. Til next time...

PSA... ♥

So I've come to learn that this blog challenge stuff isn't for me... lol
1) I don't have the attention span for this ish... There's a million other things running through my mind on any given day, and sometimes my blog, as much as I adore it, is NOT one of them lol.
2) I'm a free spirit... I wanna blog when I wanna blog... and if I don't feel like blogging, then I don't lol.
3) Umm this is my last semester of undergrad... it's exam week. #Shrug.
4) My name is GiGi... and I am a #TwitterJunkie. I mean, who wants to sit and type paragraphs of stuff when some random rich ass white person guy gave us a place to spill our guts all day everyday, in 140 characters or less?? #ImJustSayin...
5) Some of these topics are like repeats, because I feel like my letters are to the same people lol... Y'all know I don't like anybody hahaha!

Day 24--Letter to the Person Who Gave Me My Favorite Memory.♥

Dear Admissions Office,
Good lookin' on that 4-year full ride. I remember the first day I got your letter in the mail. I was wearing a pink shirt and shorts, and my hair was relaxed, with a burgundy-red rinse. I had these glasses, and the color of my hair kinda complemented them. Anyway, that day my mom was sooooo happy and proud. That made me happy and proud. Even though I can't stand your long lines and ridiculously rude employees, without you I'd probably be broke back in Cleveland somewhere with all the others who weren't as awesome as me in high school, and didn't earn a scholarship. hehehe.
It's Been Real.
Deuces in December.♥

Catch-Up for the Weekend.♥

OK, now that I've come out of my lazy slump and caught up on my Blog Challenge lol... I can recap.
Side note: Whether or not I blog, I'm constantly tweeting lol, so if you're ever missing me too much, that's where to find me hahaha! Anyways...
First and foremost, I have been sick. All week. Like WTF, who gets sick the first week of school...SMH. Clearly I don't have time for this foolishness!
Speaking of school...in case y'all are unaware (smh, I wanted to type "y'all ain't know", but I went back and changed it because of this compulsion thing I have for grammar lol), last week kicked off my final semester of undergrad... I feel like I've mentioned that already in a recent post, but oh well. 1) this is my ish, and 2) that's noteworthy. It's kind of a big deal... Nothing but the grace of God and all his homeboys pushed me through these last four years.
Speaking of the grace of God... have you guys seen Takers yet? If not...you really should jump off a cliff invest in making that trip to the local theater.... this one is definitely worth it. Give your bootleg-DVD-man-at-the-gas-station-down-the-street a night off. The movie actually had a pretty nice plot... and this is coming from someone who knew absolutely nothing about the plot until seeing the movie...I've seen the promo commercials on TV, of course, but that minute is usually spent drooling over Idris Elba and all his chocolaty fineassness...soooo yeah. Go see that. Great cast with the exception of Chris Brown's whack, lisping, halfway audible, super overbite having ass.
x0x0♥

OK Let's Play Catch-Up...

It's been a busy week, my honeydip was here for a week plus work has been crazy as usual...this retail management stuff is a trip. But I won't complain! Some aren't employed at all! I'm coming up on my last free week until school starts back up! Final semester of undergrad...I can't tell you how ready I am. It's been a long 4 years. They need to just gon' 'head and give me my $40G piece of paper and let me loose! Lol.
I've been lurking reading a bunch of blogs, and I decided that, in light of my neglectful demeanor towards my own blog lately, I want to do one of the blog post-a-day things. I think the main reason I stop posting is because things become routine in my life...there's just nothing to write about sometimes lol. So hopefully this post-a-day thing will help get rid of my blogger's block, and maybe even spark up inspiration for some new posts. I still have to find like a list of topics top blog about, though. I'd love you long time if any of you could point me in the right direction lol!!

Pacing & Embracing ♥

Hey guys!!
I've missed you! I've been soooooo neglectful to my blog as of late...but school is out for the summer (smh) so hopefully I'll be back on track lol! Other than busting my toosh to get this degree (4 months til graduation!!), I've been busting my toosh at work, living life, breakin' hearts, etc. etc. Lol. My birthday was a week ago, and for once, I actually "feel" my new age. 22 is definitely not as carefree as 21 and 20 were, but I've made it this far...why think about giving up now? With a new year under my belt, comes new experiences to look forward too, new success stories to write, new places to go, new people to meet, and new things to do. I'm pacing myself and embracing it all as it comes... So I just finished up my last two finals, and I'm looking forward to a fun weekend. It's like birthday celebration part two for me {in my current town, since last weekend I went to my hometown for my actual birthday!} and icing on the cake? My love is coming up to spend a week or so with me. He just finished up summer school too, in Iowa, so I'm grateful to be getting some QT with my cu-tie before we start back up for the Fall semester in our respective locations. The visit is especially good, because it took my mind off the fact that I missed Raheem DeVaughn's concert in my hometown today! *siggghhhhhh* I wrote a tweet about how I wasn't going, but that I'd be there in spirit since I love me some Rah...and guess what? Raheem DeVaughn retweeted me!!! I know I sound like Dorky McGroupie right now, but I promise I was soooooo excited when I saw it lol. Don't judge me. I just adore that guy!
That's pretty much it for now... I, the eternal insomniac, am up at 1am cleaning my bathroom and kitchen...I wanna vacuum my apartment but I'm trying to be considerate of the potheads downstairs my downstairs neighbors! TTYL, my loves!
x0x0

I Know, I Know...♥

I've been neglecting my blog...and for that, I am sorry! I have good reason, though...lol.
Promotion at work... This manager thing is pretty okay so far. Turnover for managers in my store is crazy, though...quitters. I'm nobody's quitter, though, so I think I'll be fine...the extra hours will motivate me. Lol.
Also, I've been borderline obsessed with my hair lately, and I've been spending my cyber life on curlynikki.com... I've been sans-relaxer for a year and a month now, and you'd think I'd be hip to all these natural hair blogs and websites already but...nope! So it's kind of like delayed infatuation... I'm just loving my hair. I mean, I always love it...but now I'm seeing what it's potential is gonna be, and all that corny stuff. It's fun.
I'm apartment hunting... this was okay for my first place, but it was a very last minute decision {read: I came up in July that year, to find an apt I needed to move into in August} so now I'm more clear about what I want and don't want in an apartment... I mean, if they're gonna take all my lil' funds, I need to be getting my money's worth. Right now, I'm not!
It's three weeks into the semester and I STILL don't have any financial aid. Life was much easier when I had my full scholarship...however, it was only good for 4 consecutive years, meaning it ended last semester...and now I see why everyone else complains so much about the office...I'm not used to having to worry about this mess.
Hmm...I think that's all for now. I need to clean, it's been a busy week but I hate my apt looking a mess. Even though no one's here but me and my cat...
x0x0♥

Stress... ♥

Yesterday kicked off the first day of my second-to-last semester of Undergrad. I've never had so much trouble with starting school in my life.
I've been dealing with crap for the past month with these Financial Aid people, and it's getting REALLY irritating. Not to mention, stressful. See, I'm a student at this school because of my high school academics. I was able to earn a full 4-year tuition scholarship, for which I am eternally grateful... especially now. I've never had to worry about my school fees being paid...hell, the most I've ever had to fret over was when my refund from my other grants would be posted. Now? Whole 'nother story. Semester is here, in full effect, and my financial aid hasn't even been processed yet. WTF? Then I call the office, as I've been doing every single day, and everyday I get the same scripted response. Even more aggravating? I'm being told to "give it a little more time"....say what?
Dear Sir/Madam:
I understand and appreciate that you've already earned your degree, and that your kids are probably getting a mad discount on schooling if they attend this university, thereby relieving you from having a care in the world. I, however, am a lovely young Black lady from the hood...who refuses to go back there, especially without a Bachelor's in-hand. THEREFORE, it would behoove you to play with your little buttons on your little computer, and process my shit! Please and thank you!
x0x0♥

Truth? ♥

I don't know what the hell I'm doing after undergrad.
I don't know where I want to reside after undergrad.
I ate ice cream and Dove chocolates for breakfast this morning.
Worms make my insides churn.
I'm scared of marriage...because I'm scared of divorce.
I voted for Obama because he's Black.
I'm not ashamed, either.
I have 3 closets FULL of clothes...and sometimes I still have nothing to wear.
There's a spider crawling across my ceiling right now.
I won't kill it because I'm afraid that if I miss, it'll fall on my head.
Every free moment of my life is filled with music, either in my head or from my speakers.
I still think boys have cooties.
I like my men strong and BLACK...
My coffee is a different story...
That is all.
For now.

Hola, Muchachos! ♥

Hey guys!
Sorry I've been away, but I'm back! Hopefully I'll be back on track with my blogging!
It's Monday, and it's finals week. I'm wrapping up what has been my best semester in awhile! I'm seriously thinking I'll have my 4.0 this time. I've already aced 3 out of 5 finals (and their respective classes), and I have 2 papers I'm waiting on grades for (which I'm pretty sure are A's too) so I'm hoping for the best!
In other news...while I was away, I became single!
For like a day. Lol. A little miscommunication (actually more like a lack of communication) led to issues where my S.O. felt there was a lot of negative stuff going on that he couldn't talk to me about it...so he simply didn't talk to me. For a number of days. At the time I was going OFF...like WTF, really dude? I declared myself single (I made it FB official and EVERYTHING, but he doesn't even check his FB anymore so it was pretty pointless and went unnoticed lol) even though I knew in my heart that I was still 'In a Relationship' lol. But we worked it out, talked it out, and now we're all patched up. Sometimes we get too comfortable as a couple, and perhaps we forget about the friendship thing we once had where we could vent to each other about anything under the sun... and these things happen. *shrug*
Hmmm what else... I cut some ties I should have cut a LONG time ago. It feels good. I feel free. I don't need people in or around my life who are serving no purpose. I'm not crippled; I don't need anyone as a crutch. On the same token, I don't want to be anyone else's crutch, either. You know that little cliche about seasonal friends/acquaintances? Yeah... some people have been in my life long past their season. Expiration date was up a long time ago, and it's not that I just realized this...it's that I'm just now taking the initiative to actually do something about it. So I'm in a good place right now... I'm about to finish jammin' to this Wale {The Mixtape About Nothing} and eating my ice cream {yes, it's 11:30 at night but so what. I've had a long day lol}
x0x0♥

I Love You Guys...♥

...but finals week is approaching lol. So...yeah. Try not to miss me too much! I'm out working on this 4.0!

"Nothing shines brighter than a good soul..." --Journey, over at The Soul of it All

I haven't blogged in a week or so, and I've been catching up on all your blogs, but I didn't know what to write about on my own. Until I read this quote. It just spoke to me, and to my current emotional situation.
I was, as Jill Scott would say, in a bad headspace last week. There was much to be excited about, with my dad's wedding and finally spending an Easter at home, but in the midst of all that, there are things that occurred that weighed heavily on my mind and heart. I don't really feel like getting into the details, because I'm finally on the road to feeling like myself again...not the unhappy me that I've felt like lately.
All I'll say is that at the end of the day, we all need to purge and do what it takes to make ourselves happy. Whether that happiness comes from writing, singing, talking, working out, crying...whatever. Just take care of your heart and soul as best as you know how. When you're happy...I mean really, truly happy, from the inside out... you feel better. Your aura is better, and people gravitate towards the happiness that's radiating from you. True happiness is something that people and things can't take away from you.
I'd love to be one of those truly happy people, but at the moment, I'm not. There are things that I've let dictate my happiness for so long, that I have to get back to that place in my head and heart where I feel in charge, and free from all the BS. I want to get back to being the girl who just looks...happy.

Now that the formalities are out of the way.... the wedding was great! My first time being a bridesmaid. We're having technical difficulties with the personal pics (read: someone's camera is jacked up) but the professional ones should be ready soon. Everything ran smoothly, and now my stepmom is officially my stepmom, even though she's always been my stepmom lol. Long story.
School is almost over. 3 more weeks, then finals. I'll have a lil' break, then it's right back to the books for the summer. I've done GREAT this semester, in every class. I haven't felt that optimistic in a long time, and it's feeling good. 3 more classes this summer, then an externship this fall stand between me and my first degree. Now that's a good headspace to be in. When people fail you, you've always got yourself, your sanity, and your success to fall back on.
x0x0♥

Catch-Up♥

Hey all! Another busy couple of weeks, so I haven't been blogging much. I've been checking up on a lot of you guys' blogs, though. So I just thought I'd stop neglecting my blog and at least fill you guys in what's been up with me!
1) It's my last year of undergrad. I have 3 more classes to take this summer (one is a re-take of a class that I got a D in, the semester my mom passed away) and then I'm excited because I finally got into an externship program at the elementary school across the street from my house. So I'll be doing that this Fall. Then I'll officially have my degree.

2) On Thursday (March 18th), my best friend here in my college town gave birth to her first child, Jonathan Jr. He's my Snookie. I watched him being born (yes, I've seen my best friend's vagina. Our friendship is now cemented in stone) and when he was born, he was looking over at me. With these gorgeous gray eyes. I'm telling you, there's nothing like the experience of watching a child being born. My bestie has knocked out marriage, first child, and (soon to be) college graduation all in one semester. I'm so happy for her!

3) I hate group projects. I work so much better on my own, at my own pace, with my own standards. I can't stand depending on people because they always seem to either be doing TOO much, or not doing enough. Then I have to worry about how their hot messiness is going to affect MY grade. Ugh.

4) My daddy is getting married on April 3rd. YaY! I'm not too enthused about being a bridesmaid, but I'm his only child, so whatever...

5) I've been really happy lately, for whatever reason. I'm not questioning or complaining, though. There are so many unhappy people in the world, that I'm thankful for any and all moments of peace that I can get!

That's all I've got for now. CSI is on. Gotta concentrate lol.

Sum-it-Up♥

What a week I had...glad that another one is coming up. Fresh.
Last week I was in thee gloomiest of moods, and once again thanks to all of you who gave words of encouragement on my last post. I really do appreciate it! The day didn't go so bad. I kept busy, and I tried not to let my mind wander to any dark, sad places!
I completely forgot about an exam I had due on Friday in my online Clinical PSY class {the danger of online courses} so I spent literally the entire day studying. It paid off, though. Got a 94. Could've been better, but it's only the first exam.
Things are looking up at work. I still want another job, though. But for the time being, I'm fine. I don't remember if I told you guys (and I'm too lazy to look) but I had an issue with the management in my store because they acted like they didn't want me taking my spring break week off to visit my boyfriend in Iowa. I haven't seen him since he was here for my birthday back in late July/early August. Soooo I had a pissy attitude. Which is NOT pretty. But everything is fine now. Didn't get my week off, but it doesn't matter because I'm going the weekend after next. Excited. YaY! We really need this Q-time. Long distance is stressful... I'm considering going out there for grad school...which is a whole 'nother post. We'll see...
Speaking of the sig. other, I spent like a half hour earlier deleting like EVERYONE from my face.book page. Like a LOT of people. Only 54 people made the cut. That includes my family (blood or otherwise), my man, my best friends, and some friends that I couldn't bear to delete. Everyone else was just taking up space. I was on a rampage... Apparently one or more of my boyfriend's friends/schoolmates/teammates/whoever felt the need to run and report to him every time I do anything on FB. Doesn't matter that I'm not doing anything inappropriate at all...all I do is change my status, comment on other statuses, and talk to my BFF who lives out there in Iowa... ((Oh yeah, y'all remember this post? Well a couple months ago she called me out of the blue, and long story short, we're back to being friends again.)) But anyway, yeah so this FB thing blew me away because basically my boyfriend never gets on there, and I guess whatever someone told him made him jealous, even though he wouldn't admit it. So long story short, has anyone ever seen that episode of The Game where Melanie chops her hair off as a way of cutting off her feelings, and I guess making a fresh start? Well thats kinda what I did with the FB friends list. I feel better, too. I deleted ALL his friends. IDK who the so-called snitch is {even though 'snitch' implies that I did something wrong} but now it doesn't matter because none of them can see my page. I deleted all the other people because...well I don't talk to them anyway. And I could honestly care less about their lives. It's mostly old schoolmates. Who I didn't even talk to when we were in school together lmao. Good Riddance!
x0x0♥

Excuse My Hiatus~♥

Hey loves...
Sorry I've been away for so long. Had to tend to some things and get prepared for spring semester! It's going great, so far. But doesn't it always seem that way during the first week? That's when everyone's all nice and rested and rejuvenated and whatnot. Lol. I do think this will be my fave semester, though. just based on the classes I'm taking this semester. Learning is a lot easier when the subject matter actually piques your interest.
Anywho, school started yesterday. You know what that means. Hoodrat freshmen, icebreakers, parking lot pandemonium, and refund check ballers. SMH.
I won't lie, though, I did get my refund check today lol. And I was excited. Why? Because since my store of employment has cut back on hours, I've been cut back on hours, which means some bills weren't exactly getting paid. I'm not the most responsible person when it comes to money. I'm learning, though. I grew up in a not-rich-but-pretty-spoiled-compared-to-a-lot-of-my-peers type of home...So this independent, fend-for-yourself thing is still pretty new to me. That being said, I just spent like 600+ on bills, paying things off completely so that I can start fresh. My aim is to be responsible and pay things on time, and to never let things pile up this way again. And to keep something in the bank. And to live within my means. That's been my biggest problem. It's one thing when you're living the life on Mommy and Daddy and Granny's dime, but when it's on your dime (and nickels, and pennies) the situation gets sticky. Pray for me. I'll keep y'all posted on my progress!
Also, I signed up for internet today, so I can get back on track with my blogging! That's the real reason I've been away from you guys lol... I was kinda mooching off someone's wireless in my apartment complex, but now it seems to not wanna work... and I don't do this campus computer lab/library stuff unless ABSOLUTELY necessary, for reasons that we've already discussed. Besides, with two online classes, I can't afford to be foolin' with someone's unreliable internet lol. I know, silly of me to complain about someone ELSE's web service. But oh well.
I'm also planning a trip to Iowa to see my Honeydip in 3 weeks. Wanted to go for Valentine's Day weekend, but he'll be out of town at a wrestling tournament, and as much as I enjoy seeing him knock the sh*t out of take down other 285 lb beasts, I don't like my visits to be interrupted.
I'm killing time before my Clinical Psych class, so I'll catch up on some of you guys' blogs! I've really missed them!
x0x0♥

My Real World...♥

Spring semester begins next Monday. I'm beyond ready. Lol. I think I've mentioned this a few times before, but oh well. I'm saying it again. This will be my second to last semester of my undergraduate education and I'm so ready to get out there into what I consider the Real World. I know it's a scary time with the state of the economy and whatnot, but unlike some people, I refuse to use that as a cop-out or an excuse to move back into my family's house and be unproductive. I want my own, and for the past 3 and a half years I've been gaining the skills to go out and get it! So why not be excited?
I've been practically living on the phone with my Honeydip the past couple weeks. As a matter of fact, as I type this post, he's asleep snoring over my speaker phone. It's around that time when we both start getting cranky because we haven't seen each other in so long. Instead of letting it take it's toll on us, this time he decided to go the opposite direction and get back to what made us so close in the first place. Talking...about any and everything. I remember when we were just best friends, and his father told him not to spoil me by talking to me day in and day out, because then I'd expect him to do it forever lol. I mean, that's a little unrealistic. At that time, we were both in high school. Our lives have both gotten a lot busier since then. So I still love and appreciate all the time we spend talking and just growing as a couple. Our friendship is really what I adore most about our relationship. I said that to someone and she's like aww, that's so sweet...I wish my boyfriend would be like that with me... I don't think I'd accept anything less. There's such a noticeable difference when you form a friendship with someone prior to the romantic part. If you can't talk, or enjoy each other's company when you're not physically doing anything, what's the point?
Anywho, right now I'm watching Don't Be a Menace blah blah whatever the rest of the title is...I'd never seen it before. It was...umm...interesting. I'm one of those people who hasn't seen half the movies that others believe the entire world has watched a billion times. I just saw Coming to America for the first time in like October. *shrug* Oh well. I'd just rather read a book than watch a movie. Sue me.

My First Love...♥

On facebook, I recently added a girl who went to church with me years ago. She's about 15 or 16 I think (couldn't tell exactly because you know the young'ns don't put their birth year on their profiles). Anyway, yesterday she changed her relationship status from 'In a Relationship' to 'Engaged' to her lil' boyfriend.
At first I was irritated, as I am everytime I see someone overestimating their relationship status on there. No ring? No proposal? No wedding date? You're not engaged. No marriage license? You aren't married. Simple as that. No commitment? You aren't even in a relationship. But I digress...
Then I started thinking about the boyfriend I had during high school. We were together for my entire sophomore and junior year of high school. We were basically one of those "forever" looking couples. Clearly two years is a looonnnngggg time in high school. If I had a facebook back then, I'd have probably been one of the girls with 'Engaged to __________' on her profile lol.
We broke up after a series of unfortunate events during the summer before senior year. He ended up dropping out, becoming a weedhead I think, and...yeah. Last I heard, he'd knocked a chick up and he, said chick, and their offspring were living in his mama's house.
It's crazy, because of course no one could tell me at the time that this guy wasn't gonna be my man FOREVER lol. I don't doubt that I loved him or anything like that. I don't regret the relationship. It taught me a lot. Good and bad.  It's just crazy to me how life works out. My mom abhorred this dude. I mean she couldn't STAND  him! Somehow moms just know. Even though I didn't think it was fair of her to judge him, everything she predicted came to pass. Our demise. His demise. All that.
How often do we end up marrying our first loves? I don't know many people, especially of my generation, who have become lasting high school sweethearts. To me, that's stuff from storybooks and movies. I'd love to meet a couple like that, who's living it. Happily. None of that 'oh, we were high school sweethearts then she got pregnant so our parents made us get married and now we can't stand each other' ish. Like real, legit, long-lasting first loves.
It's crazy because I've never referred to this guy as my first love until right now, in this post. I always say 'my high school boyfriend' because he was the only relationship I had during high school. It was that serious, lol. Now I can't even say his name. I used to dwell on the memories back then. Now they're tucked away in some secure part of my LTM (long-term memory) and believe me, they aren't retrieved too often. Actually, ever. Until people who knew us as an 'Us' bring the relationship up. To this day, people from my alma mater STILL ask me about him. Five years after the fact. I haven't spoken to him since then. There was no backtracking, none of that. I'm good at the whole severing ties thing. Especially when I'm hurt. Still though, funny how life happens.
Yep, that's some mid-day depth for y'all lol...

Monster Trucks!♥

On my way to class earlier, I saw this extra huge pick-up truck, with the really big tires that are like the same height as me... As if this isn't a hot enough mess, the thing had the nerve to be parked in a handicapped parking spot. I was like oooh weee, somebody's getting a ticket! The parking enforcement people on our campus do NOT PLAY, and the fine for illegally parking in a handi spot is $250...nope, nuh uh...wouldn't be me! I was actually nosy enough to walk around to the front of the car to see if they'd gotten a ticket already lmao (yes, I'm the one that does simple a** things like this lol) and when I got there, I was shocked to see that....they actually had a handicap parking permit!! WTF?? What the heck kinda handicap do you have that allows you to climb (not step, but climb) up into an 8-foot high truck everyday?? SMH!! I woulda taken a pic but I saw somebody walking up and I didn't know if it was their truck or not... I definitely looked like some kinda creepo...so I just walked away lol.

My Rant of the Day...♥

I am soooooo irritated!!!
It's colder than a b*tch outside and I came to campus to the library (which is, of course, a hot mess during the last 2 weeks of the semester) to knock a couple papers out. When I'm at home, I start off good but then I end up taking a nap. Or eating...then taking a nap. Or watching Criminal Minds. Or all of the above. Basically, I end up doing everything except writing the paper. One time I went to throw something away and ended up cleaning my entire apartment...in the middle of writing a paper lol. I digress...
Anyway, I get to the library, find me a corner on the third floor, away from the skeezers who get dressed to come to the library because this is where all the Black dudes are this time of year...and away from the boys who are here looking at the skeezers... and I go on my class website...only to find that the freakin' professor hasn't even posted the instructions for the essay. UGH!!! He's such a freakin' spazz! One of the essays is due tomorrow, and the other is due next Thursday. We only have class once a week. Why is it that nothing ever gets posted when it's supposed to? I feel like a kid who's dad is always telling her he's gonna do something but then when the time comes, it's never done. SMH. Oh well... guess I'll facebook or something until I feel like getting up and going back out into the cold to get to my car.
